A collision led to Seraċini Għawdxin getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Stephan Hyzler hit a great ball. In the 10th match minute, FC Hamneskär was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinho Lima to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrew Miggiani got free with Rickard Falkrans in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Gerada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Lima in the 18th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Jan-Ove Falkrans made the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Shawn Darmanin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. After 58 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Lawrence Buttigieg. 60 minutes into the match, Robert Seychell notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Hamneskär's Rickard Falkrans. Rickard Falkrans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The tension between the Seraċini Għawdxin and the FC Hamneskär players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th minute, Daniele Portanier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute of the match Claudinho Lima sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clayton Gerada skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Paul Montebello got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Seraċini Għawdxin were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Hamneskär for a fine match.
