An unexpectedly hard shot by Dani Galiana in the 16th minute of play forced Nadodrze Wrocław's goalkeeper Maciej Cisek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 20 minutes, Jakub Duszenski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nadodrze Wrocław and the Astillero del Guayas players grew even worse after the yellow card. During the 23rd minute of the match Jakub Duszenski completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jakub Duszenski a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The audience was convinced that Dani Galiana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maciej Cisek was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 33 minutes of play Nadodrze Wrocław's Milosz Falkiewicz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 33 played minutes Nadodrze Wrocław got a freekick which was hit by Milosz Falkiewicz. Maciej Cisek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dani Galiana in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bartlomiej Wysocki was the one to do the kick off. If Zarando Eguizabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 60th play minutes Zarando Eguizabal shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Maciej Cisek and just under the crossbar into goal. Maciej Cisek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dani Galiana in the 70th minute of play. Zarando Eguizabal succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0. 76 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Astillero del Guayas's Dani Galiana fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Maciej Cisek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zarando Eguizabal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nadodrze Wrocław's Maciej Cisek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zarando Eguizabal in the 83rd minute of play. 86 minutes into the game, Dominik Kon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nadodrze Wrocław's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astillero del Guayas the free kick. When the referee ended the match the Astillero del Guayas players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
