In the 3rdth minute of the game Caio Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Caio Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolf's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flávio Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th minute, Moisés Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 8 minutes, Caio Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute Caio Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flávio Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Caio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flávio Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as S.C.PAULISTA's Cláudio Leite slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmundo Catarinense. That made the score 1-0 after 16 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the match, Wolf's goal looked a bit too open when Cláudio Leite came free, but Edmundo Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wolf's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Cláudio Leite scored to the left of an out of position Edmundo Catarinense, making the score, 2-0. S.C.PAULISTA's Flávio Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caio Lara in the 27th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, S.C.PAULISTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Leão to maneuver through the defense. If Rony Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rony Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rony Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Rony Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmundo Catarinense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Acácio Alves in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the game, Rony Alves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Flávio Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Fernando Prado made the kick off in the second half. If Caio Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Wolf booed when S.C.PAULISTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Prado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.C.PAULISTA's zone, Rony Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Fantini came out of the goal and Rony Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 60 played minutes Wolf got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Dionísio. Caio Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Flávio Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wolf's Edmundo Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Alves in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Robinho da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Lara in the 96th minute of play forced S.C.PAULISTA's goalkeeper Flávio Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolf's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
