Olivier Dubs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gianluca Popolizio, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The Deportivo Popolizio FBC fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Gianluca Popolizio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 13th match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gianluca Popolizio to maneuver through the defense. Phelipe Escarza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Garro in the 19th minute of play. Phelipe Escarza made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jiang Liang Wei sent off a good shot on target. Florian Galeone charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florian Galeone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Florian Galeone hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Gianluca Popolizio sped through BEST FABIO F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Olivier Dubs. The supporters of BEST FABIO F.C. booed when Deportivo Popolizio FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lonzo Corullon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Gerald Guthrie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phelipe Escarza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Mateus Ardines sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olivier Dubs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, BEST FABIO F.C.'s Rodrigo Garro got a free kick in the 31st minute. Gianluca Popolizio took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olivier Dubs. Olivier Dubs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Olivier Dubs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciceron Valdivielso in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Berghmans in the 38th minute of play forced Deportivo Popolizio FBC's goalkeeper Phelipe Escarza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciceron Valdivielso in the 44th minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Olivier Dubs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciceron Valdivielso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Olivier Dubs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fritz Berghmans to strike the kick off in the second half. Phelipe Escarza came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by BEST FABIO F.C.'s Fritz Berghmans. But to his dismay, Fritz Berghmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 60 minutes into the game, Ciceron Valdivielso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Olivier Dubs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Popolizio FBC's Confesor Ballugera got a free kick in the 68th minute. BEST FABIO F.C.'s Toninho Cosme was substituted for Rodrigo Garro. Confesor Ballugera kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. A nice corner shot did that Juninho de Sena got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Phelipe Escarza quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ciceron Valdivielso came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Olivier Dubs could save by the left post. Phelipe Escarza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerald Guthrie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd match minute, Deportivo Popolizio FBC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lonzo Corullon to maneuver through the defense. Herminio Maceira charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 86 played minutes Deportivo Popolizio FBC got a freekick which was hit by Quintan Ontavilla. After a defensive mix-up in BEST FABIO F.C.'s zone, Gianluca Popolizio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olivier Dubs came out of the goal and Gianluca Popolizio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Quintan Ontavilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
