In the 40thth minute of the game Vintilă Şimonca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berni y Benja FC's Chu Yuan Jian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 41st match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Şimonca to maneuver through the defense. Vintilă Şimonca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chu Yuan Jian having to make a save.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vintilă Şimonca made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Chu Yuan Jian successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Calistrat Bebeșel hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Chu Yuan Jian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vintilă Şimonca in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Berni y Benja FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Domingos Kaiet hit a great ball. In the 65th minute Vintilă Şimonca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chu Yuan Jian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s attentive Iacob Alupulesei managed to snatch the ball when Wilfredo Orlondo made a throw-in in the 66th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Vintilă Şimonca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vintilă Şimonca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chu Yuan Jian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Ologu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Kaiet, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Vintilă Şimonca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Calistrat Bebeșel was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Calistrat Bebeșel got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After some careless play in the Berni y Benja FC defense, Octav Puiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chu Yuan Jian. The Berni y Benja FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chu Yuan Jian should have stopped the shot. The Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Vintilă Şimonca looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chu Yuan Jian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vintilă Şimonca in the 93rd minute of the match. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Berni y Benja FC's much stronger midfield.
