The La Candela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benigno Guillem should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Benigno Guillem came out of the goal and Abelardo Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Márcio Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benigno Guillem having to interfere. Márcio Cruz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
