Anastasio Berriotxoa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Davide Onori, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some careless play in the Lunatics of Arianrhod defense, Albano Francho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano Fracassi. The Lunatics of Arianrhod fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano Fracassi should have stopped the shot. After 47 played minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Migliorati. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Albano Francho made a kick off. Anastasio Berriotxoa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in AFC FUSION's zone, Davide Onori stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Berriotxoa came out of the goal and Davide Onori tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lunatics of Arianrhod's Adriano Fracassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albano Francho in the 71st minute of play. Bruno Di Federico's late challenge caught a AFC FUSION's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Di Federico helped the player get up and apologised. In the 75th minute, Bruno Di Federico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
