Clemente Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frederik Faurbye made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Paranaense in the 11th minute of play. Frederik Faurbye showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Richard Tjerne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Randers A.F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CE LAJEADENSE RS the free kick. The supporters of CE LAJEADENSE RS booed when Randers A.F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Tjerne didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute, Randers A.F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Caio Ramos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 29th minute, Glauco Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Frederik Faurbye. Randers A.F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Randers A.F.C.'s Frederik Faurbye played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Lara in the 33rd minute of play. Luís de Lara hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the game, Caio Ramos lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Frederik Faurbye.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andre Baagland was the one to do the kick off. Lauro Linhares was a little too slow when Thorleif Dandrup got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 4-1. Luís Gustavo Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Glauco Paranaense during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense got a free kick in the 87th minute. Marcinho das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Kristian Ingels dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lauro Linhares, 4-2. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. CE LAJEADENSE RS were victorious despite being under pressure from Randers A.F.C. for much of the match.
