The crowd rose to their feet as CE LAJEADENSE RS's Caio Ramos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Délio Fantini. That made the score 2-0 after 17 minutes of play. 24 minutes into the match, Werneck FC - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Glauco Paranaense came free, but Délio Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. With his leg Délio Fantini managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when CE LAJEADENSE RS's Caio Ramos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Paranaense in the 34th minute of play forced Werneck FC - DMZ's goalkeeper Délio Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís de Lara scored 3-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Délio Fantini, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Werneck FC - DMZ's Laerte Valladares got a free kick in the 40th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Caio Ramos to make the kick off.
