Denis Abancens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Jurgen Vervaeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Laurgain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marten Pelegrims, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Esteve Nastasio fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patadura FC's protests and gave Esteve Nastasio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Anversa Club booed when Patadura FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Nastasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Patadura FC's Fabio Benitez got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Fabio Benitez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerome De Fauw recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute, Mario Huytterhoeven hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patadura FC's Esteve Nastasio got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marten Pelegrims sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 26 minutes into the game, Anversa Club's Arnaud Van Lancker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernardo Laurgain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Jesse De Messemaeckre had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo Laurgain. Patadura FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jesse De Messemaeckre was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Jurgen Vervaeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Nastasio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Jurgen Vervaeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteve Nastasio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Anversa Club were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Patadura FC's Cristobal Venerando got a free kick in the 51st minute. A beautiful save bye Anversa Club's goalie prevented a goal. 55 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Patadura FC's Esteve Nastasio fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After 57 minutes, Marten Pelegrims mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Anversa Club and the Patadura FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Patadura FC booed when Anversa Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marten Pelegrims didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes of play, Patadura FC's Esteve Nastasio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jurgen Vervaeck was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 64th minute Esteve Nastasio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Vervaeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute Cecilio Pere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jurgen Vervaeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute Alphonse Conincx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Laurgain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Rafel came free, but Jurgen Vervaeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Esteve Nastasio scored 2-2 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jurgen Vervaeck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Esteve Nastasio put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jurgen Vervaeck. Bernardo Laurgain made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marten Pelegrims in the 90th minute. Jurgen Vervaeck came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Patadura FC's Esteve Nastasio. But to his dismay, Esteve Nastasio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Anversa Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
