George Neuer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavio Galo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Three Lions FC's zone, Flavio Galo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. George Neuer came out of the goal and Flavio Galo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cafu de Moraes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gerardo Frantzes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the LA LUZ F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Frantzes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Arce in the 20th minute of play forced Three Lions FC's goalkeeper George Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, LA LUZ F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Rencio to maneuver through the defense. Maximo Beltxe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Neuer having to interfere. Cafu de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Luciano Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, Flavio Galo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Three Lions FC's George Neuer. George Neuer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Álvaro Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Reyes having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Garin during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes LA LUZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Roman Garin.

LA LUZ F.C. made a substitution. Eulalio Veronica replaced Aureliano Arce. The wind increased when Felippe Urbano made the kick off in the second half. Luciano Reyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Cafu de Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Three Lions FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu de Moraes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Reyes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute Felippe Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Reyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustavo Rosa was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 70 minutes, LA LUZ F.C.'s Flavio Galo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of George Neuer. 85 minutes into the match, Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Galo came free, but George Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerardo Frantzes might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over George Neuer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerardo Frantzes ran back to his position shaking his head. Eulalio Veronica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Neuer having to interfere. Luciano Reyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Batista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafu de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Luciano Reyes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over LA LUZ F.C. could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Three Lions FC throughout the match.
