He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castanheiro SC reached it. Raymond Arrington charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymond Arrington the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Raymond Arrington hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ivan Lucero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Eger in the 14th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mauro Sarmento in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ivan Lucero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roosevelt Sullivan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcelo Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roosevelt Sullivan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute of the match Marcelo Eger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Lucero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Geovani Madureira hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júnior Alagoano in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The Castanheiro SC fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

In the 53rd minute, Connor Marrero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Eger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Deportivo Rodriguez's Ivan Lucero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Rodriguez from getting a goal against them. When Curt Barrios came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Deportivo Rodriguez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Curt Barrios couldn't finish the play. In the 61st minute, Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivan Lucero. Ivan Lucero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Rodriguez's zone, Júnior Alagoano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Lucero came out of the goal and Júnior Alagoano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Ivan Lucero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Sarmento. 72 minutes into the game, Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ivan Lucero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Alagoano in the 80th minute of play forced Deportivo Rodriguez's goalkeeper Ivan Lucero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Lucero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 82nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Júnior Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Júnior Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Lucero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Castanheiro SC's Mauro Sarmento in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Castanheiro SC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
