After a defensive mix-up in Elite Azulgrana's zone, Brian Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulino Seguinus came out of the goal and Brian Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melchor Chale took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Candido Ustariz. Candido Ustariz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Aureliano Loramendi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Candido Ustariz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 26 minutes into the match, Barrabases de Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Melchor Chale came free, but Candido Ustariz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Aureliano Loramendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Ustariz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Barrabases de Victoria defense, Tito Villalba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Candido Ustariz. The Barrabases de Victoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Candido Ustariz should have stopped the shot. Aureliano Loramendi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Candido Ustariz having to make a save. Teodor Alfaro hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 40 played minutes, Elite Azulgrana's Mauro Matos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Candido Ustariz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Elite Azulgrana reached it. Elvio Cordareo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Candido Ustariz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candido Ustariz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aureliano Loramendi's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After 47 minutes, Miguel Lesardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elite Azulgrana and the Barrabases de Victoria players grew even worse after the yellow card. Barrabases de Victoria's Reinaldo Pagueguy was substituted for Brian Illescas. Miguel Lesardo kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melchor Chale made a kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Barrabases de Victoria's goalkeeper Candido Ustariz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nazario Hagedorn's late challenge caught a Elite Azulgrana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nazario Hagedorn helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Barrabases de Victoria getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Nazario Hagedorn hit a great ball. In the 56th minute Aureliano Loramendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Ustariz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candido Ustariz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Loramendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Aureliano Loramendi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Candido Ustariz. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 64th minute, Mauro Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Elite Azulgrana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. 67 minutes into the match, Barrabases de Victoria's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Loramendi came free, but Candido Ustariz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melchor Chale got free with Candido Ustariz in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Barrabases de Victoria booed when Elite Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barrabases de Victoria made a substitution. Claudio Turpin replaced Octavio Parro. In the 71st minute, Miguel Lesardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulino Seguinus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Pagueguy, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. With a little luck, Barrabases de Victoria's Candido Ustariz got control of the ball when Juan Ignacio Mercier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 78 played minutes Barrabases de Victoria got a freekick which was hit by Ariano Soffia. 79 minutes into the game, Melchor Chale recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Candido Ustariz. Melchor Chale showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. In the 82nd match minute, Barrabases de Victoria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godofredo Urriola to maneuver through the defense. Candido Ustariz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 83rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mauro Matos. The supporters of Elite Azulgrana booed when Barrabases de Victoria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godofredo Urriola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elite Azulgrana played a much better game than Barrabases de Victoria and deserved their victory. The Barrabases de Victoria players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
