Vincente Felice didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes Snorlax FC got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Schlegel. After 9 minutes, Gerard Aris made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Goiás Esporte Clube's Sandro Pernambucano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sandro Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Blanco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of Snorlax FC booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismael Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Elizalde Aguayo made a huge save. Nilmar Secco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elizalde Aguayo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Sandro Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerard Aris's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Gerard Aris's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Pernambucano was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Nilmar Secco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerard Aris in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sandro Pernambucano saved Goiás Esporte Clube from getting behind. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Gerard Aris sped through Goiás Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sandro Pernambucano.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cipriano Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Nilmar Secco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilmar Secco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Elizalde Aguayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the game, Vincente Felice recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sandro Pernambucano. Vincente Felice showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Sandro Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincente Felice in the 95th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerard Aris got free with Sandro Pernambucano in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Snorlax FC played a much better game than Goiás Esporte Clube and deserved their victory. The Goiás Esporte Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
