Dariusz Wieberneit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Romo in the 6th minute of play. Hipolito Taurino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roman Biehlert in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Romo in the 13th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Dariusz Wieberneit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute there was a penalty for Academica Pulheim. Noel Schaffert stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hipolito Taurino. 1-0. After 19 minutes, Carlos Xabier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Trip and the Academica Pulheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Xabier hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Eloy Bizen's late challenge caught a Academica Pulheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eloy Bizen helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Trip! Diego Romo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Hipolito Taurino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Roman Biehlert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Los Trip's goalkeeper Hipolito Taurino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christoph Sönksen. After 34 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by Gerardo Elorri. In the 38th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Winitzki to maneuver through the defense. Academica Pulheim's Roman Biehlert got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Los Trip got a freekick which was hit by Hector Lobo. Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Romo in the 48th minute of play.

Academica Pulheim's Gottlieb Hagedorn was substituted for Kevin Meißel. Christoph Sönksen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Hipolito Taurino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Noel Schaffert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hipolito Taurino. Los Trip's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Noel Schaffert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit got control of the ball when Silvano Breogan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Stefan Winitzki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Academica Pulheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Winitzki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hipolito Taurino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arnd Freye recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noel Schaffert in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hipolito Taurino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd match minute, Los Trip was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Breogan to maneuver through the defense. Dominik Zintl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the game, Carlos Xabier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dariusz Wieberneit. Carlos Xabier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. Hipolito Taurino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunther Daun in the 84th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Barnabas Rogge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduardo Paul kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Los Trip players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Academica Pulheim.
