Victorino Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robustiano Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Maximiliano Telmo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berni y Benja FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Bartolo Paz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Gauargi in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd match minute, Berni y Benja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Izel to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Mauro Macerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victorino Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Telmo in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The tension between the ORIZABA F.C. and the Berni y Benja FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aureliano Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Braulio Erasto hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Aureliano Gauargi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bartolo Paz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Berni y Benja FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Vladimiro Azibar hit a great ball. Bartolo Paz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Braulio Erasto. Aureliano Gauargi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gavino Benvide took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victorino Jerrald. ORIZABA F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With 94 minutes on the clock, Timoteo Pero commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of Berni y Benja FC booed when ORIZABA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Timoteo Pero didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the ORIZABA F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Berni y Benja FC.
