Isidro Adrio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florin Astafiei in the 8th minute. After 17 minutes, Flavius Vădan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC UNIREA Alba Iulia and the La Zabaleta players grew even worse after the yellow card. Flavius Vădan hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. La Zabaleta's Isidro Adrio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Câmpeanu in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Florin Astafiei reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Isidro Adrio. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 27th minute, Tudor Bărbânță ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Isidro Adrio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Domingo Ekain kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Marian Enășoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tudor Bărbânță fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Adrio having to interfere. After some careless play in the La Zabaleta defense, Flavius Vădan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Isidro Adrio. The La Zabaleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Isidro Adrio should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Florin Astafiei to make the kick off. Isidro Adrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavius Vădan, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes, Florin Astafiei made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. La Zabaleta's Isidro Adrio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 60 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Astafiei came free, but Isidro Adrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC UNIREA Alba Iulia booed when La Zabaleta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingo Ekain didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Felix Chirtoacă fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC UNIREA Alba Iulia's protests and gave Felix Chirtoacă a yellow card for diving instead. Felix Chirtoacă hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florin Astafiei in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidro Adrio saved La Zabaleta from getting behind. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC UNIREA Alba Iulia reached it. FC UNIREA Alba Iulia walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
