The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Paul Valrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Karl-Axel Skålberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Vágner Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Hogans Heroes's Thor Mager got a free kick in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Sandro Domingues kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Calle Kjellkvist. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Calle Kjellkvist was a little too slow when Cleiton Fernandez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 2-0. 29 minutes into the game, Hogans Heroes's Tord Nilsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmundo Guimarães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. In the 32nd minute, Sandro Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Calle Kjellkvist. Hogans Heroes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Hogans Heroes's Carl Ljungberg got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th play minute Sandro Domingues came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Calle Kjellkvist. 4-1. Celsinho de Almeida hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The supporters of Ogro F.C. booed when Hogans Heroes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paul Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 52 played minutes Hogans Heroes got a freekick which was hit by Carl Ljungberg. Sandro Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hélder Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calle Kjellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cleiton Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Calle Kjellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul Valrot was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 69th minute Vágner Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Calle Kjellkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Cleiton Fernandez notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Hogans Heroes's Calle Kjellkvist. Calle Kjellkvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calle Kjellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandro Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ogro F.C.'s Vágner Seco in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hogans Heroes's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ogro F.C. booed when Hogans Heroes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carl Ljungberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ogro F.C.'s Sandro Domingues got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Cleiton Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ogro F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleiton Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Hogans Heroes booed when Ogro F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ogro F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ogro F.C. had won after a very even match.
