If Ademar Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 7 played minutes THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Nascimento. Bernardo Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tostão Soeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cláudio Ramalho in the 10th minute. The supporters of Xiboquinha FC booed when THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perivaldo Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Ramalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tostão Soeiro having to make a save. A collision led to THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Perivaldo Nóbrega hit a great ball. Tostão Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Nogueira in the 16th minute of play forced THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's goalkeeper Tostão Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xiboquinha FC's Gil Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Britto in the 19th minute of play. Charles Britto kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Yuri Velloso notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's Tostão Soeiro. Tostão Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tostão Soeiro was a little too slow when Ademar Nogueira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. Tostão Soeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ademar Nogueira in the 33rd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Yuri Velloso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Soeiro. THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yuri Velloso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. After 44 played minutes, THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's Marcinho Donato shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gil Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ reached it. Marcinho Donato might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gil Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcinho Donato ran back to his position shaking his head. Tostão Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Nogueira in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franklin Mendes to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Franklin Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tostão Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Ademar Nogueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tostão Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Arnaldo Baiano came free, but Tostão Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ defense, Ademar Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tostão Soeiro. The THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tostão Soeiro should have stopped the shot. Tostão Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Nogueira in the 76th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Franklin Mendes notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's Tostão Soeiro. Tostão Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th minute, Franklin Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tostão Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. 90 minutes into the match, Yuri Velloso notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's Tostão Soeiro. Tostão Soeiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
