In the 9th minute Philippe Gimbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in klide13's zone, Caetano Terra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Sebille came out of the goal and Caetano Terra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Paulo Fernandes during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Floripa Lions FSCMZ getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Fernandes hit a great ball. Caetano Terra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Rodrigo Sebille made a huge save. Rodrigo Sebille made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Caetano Terra sent off a good shot on target. 43 minutes into the game, Caetano Terra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rodrigo Sebille was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 47 played minutes klide13 got a freekick which was hit by Terry Reichert. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Emmanuel Deleuze took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jorge Simão to make any attempt to save it. Jorge Simão was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Jérôme Couvelard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal.
