An unexpectedly hard shot by István Zolnai in the 4th minute of play forced Tynemouth Wanderers's goalkeeper Alf Dove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when István Zolnai sped through Tynemouth Wanderers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alf Dove. In the 12th minute, István Zolnai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alf Dove was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience was convinced that István Zolnai's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alf Dove was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by István Zolnai in the 28th minute of play forced Tynemouth Wanderers's goalkeeper Alf Dove to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, István Zolnai made a precise shot to the right of Alf Dove. Tynemouth Wanderers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If István Kis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Csabagyöngye booed when Tynemouth Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Commons didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41stth minute of the game István Zolnai who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tynemouth Wanderers's Alf Dove was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Csabagyöngye booed when Tynemouth Wanderers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Commons didn't get a good kick on the ball. István Zolnai took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alf Dove. Alf Dove dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jim Kemp was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Alf Dove successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alf Dove made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Áron Erőss in the 63rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers István Zolnai in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alf Dove saved Tynemouth Wanderers from getting behind. The Csabagyöngye fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Csabagyöngye's István Zolnai looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tynemouth Wanderers's Blair Knight was substituted for Jim Kemp. Tynemouth Wanderers's Alf Dove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by István Zolnai in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, Tynemouth Wanderers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Conal Wicks to maneuver through the defense. Steve Bilton kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Alf Dove made an important save on a dangerous shot by István Zolnai in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when István Zolnai got free with Alf Dove in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tynemouth Wanderers's attentive Steve Bilton managed to snatch the ball when Árpád Benkô made a throw-in in the 83rd minute of the game. After having played for 85 minutes, István Kis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Csabagyöngye's supporters crossed their fingers, but István Kis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Áron Erőss hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Erdei got free with Alf Dove in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle sounded Csabagyöngye left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Tynemouth Wanderers.
