Evelio Benino hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Jose Miguel Echeandía. In the 29th minute of the match Americo Cefero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Asenjo skillfully saved the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Simon Bautista notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Talcampeón FC's Sandro Asenjo. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Evelio Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alijilán returns's supporters rose to their feet, but Evelio Benino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sandro Asenjo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Bautista made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Talcampeón FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Americo Cefero was slow to take the kick. During this time Alijilán returns's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Casimiro Caton got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sandro Asenjo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Benino in the 55th minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Sandro Asenjo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Simon Bautista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Sandro Asenjo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simon Bautista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sandro Asenjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Bautista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Evelio Benino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alijilán returns fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Simon Bautista might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sandro Asenjo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simon Bautista ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alijilán returns fans cheered their team off the field, for while Talcampeón FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
