Monks in Robes's Mouritz Søjbjerg got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Tasso FC's Zeferino Távora got control of the ball when Jakob Lorits tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Monks in Robes booed when Tasso FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Tasso FC's Severino Taveira got a free kick in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Zeferino Távora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Duerlund in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Monks in Robes's goalkeeper Orla Nevin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Monks in Robes fully deserved thier win.
