Amadeo Weterio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rune Nordström's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Lyons defense, Rune Nordström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeo Weterio. The Lyons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeo Weterio should have stopped the shot. After 31 minutes of play, Henley Utd's Isac Bergström made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeo Weterio was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Henley Utd's Erling Söderqvist got control of the ball when Narciso Guter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henrik Valrot hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Amadeo Weterio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sverker Björk went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Guter stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Lyons's Amadeo Weterio got control of the ball when Rune Nordström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agustin Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Söderqvist having to interfere. The supporters of Lyons booed when Henley Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Valrot didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rolf Simonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Rune Nordström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeo Weterio. That made the score 0-4 in the 69 minute of play. Agustin Jaunti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erling Söderqvist having to interfere. After 76 played minutes Henley Utd got a freekick which was hit by August Wennerqvist. In the 78th minute, Henrik Valrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Lyons's goalkeeper Amadeo Weterio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Nordström. Victoriano Ferran kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Henley Utd's Rolf Simonsson got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Rune Nordström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amadeo Weterio. Lyons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rune Nordström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. In the 97th minute Sverker Björk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeo Weterio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
