The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspard Decoux got free with Régis Pombal in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Régis Pombal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Just Meurisse's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With an all-out effort, Grêmio Meia Praia's Jules Le Gourrierec threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ademar Gonçalves, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
