After 9 played minutes Czarne Mamby got a freekick which was hit by Benedykt Nieuzyla. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jeremias Herrero managed to get in a good position for a shot. Czarne Mamby's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario de deportes the free kick. The supporters of Universitario de deportes booed when Czarne Mamby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedykt Nieuzyla didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerzy Lampe's late challenge caught a Universitario de deportes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerzy Lampe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Czarne Mamby getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jerzy Lampe hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Universitario de deportes's Arnau Bargas got a free kick in the 25th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Clemente Marcilla made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Czarne Mamby's goalkeeper Arkadiusz Golota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jesús Taules. In the 76th minute, Wasyl Dzerwucki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 played minutes Czarne Mamby got a freekick which was hit by Rafal Madajczyk. With a little luck, Czarne Mamby's Arkadiusz Golota got control of the ball when Egoi Bermejo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th match minute, Czarne Mamby was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jedrzej Laskowski to maneuver through the defense. Jesús Taules could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Arkadiusz Golota made a huge save.
