Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Morten Hestad made the kick off and thus started the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Vic Bayne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gone With the Win's supporters rose to their feet, but Vic Bayne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christer Waaler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vic Bayne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ådne Ottersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christer Waaler had great luck who in the 11thth minute grab hold of the ball when Stuart Brayson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 15th minute Vic Bayne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Waaler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th minute, Dan Ødegaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Christer Waaler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gone With the Win's Ivan Shotton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petter Vartdal in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Morten Hestad left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Åsnes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Åsnes's Dan Ødegaard pulled a muscle in his back after 32 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 32 minutes, Harvey Featherstone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gone With the Win and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Åsnes booed when Gone With the Win was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harvey Featherstone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vic Bayne could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Christer Waaler made a huge save. 41 minutes into the match, Stuart Brayson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Christer Waaler, 1-1. Ian Browne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stuart Brayson to strike the kick off in the second half. When Vic Bayne came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Gone With the Win fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vic Bayne couldn't finish the play. Åsnes's Christer Waaler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Browne in the 52nd minute of play. Christer Waaler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stuart Brayson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Morten Hestad in the 56th minute of play forced Gone With the Win's goalkeeper Ivan Shotton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stuart Brayson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Christer Waaler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goalkeeper Ivan Shotton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnt Honningsvåg. Ådne Ottersen had several of the Gone With the Win's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 69 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Ivan Shotton as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 73rdth minute of the game Morten Hestad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gone With the Win's Ivan Shotton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gone With the Win's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Morten Hestad scored to the left of an out of position Ivan Shotton, making the score, 2-3. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gone With the Win's goalkeeper Ivan Shotton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Morten Hestad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Ivan Shotton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Shotton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ådne Ottersen in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Ådne Ottersen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Shotton was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. The Åsnes supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Åsnes would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
