After a defensive mix-up in Várdomb's zone, Ronny Sund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vilmos Balázs came out of the goal and Ronny Sund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cai Drevland in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vilmos Balázs saved Várdomb from getting behind. Erik Bratli charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erik Bratli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cai Drevland stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Gyarmati came free, but Bjørn Engelund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cai Drevland was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Pladask's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Bjarne Ranum got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vilmos Balázs quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, FC Pladask's Bjørn Engelund got control of the ball when Elemér Pálffy tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of FC Pladask booed when Várdomb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Botond Bodor didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Simon Tokody came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Várdomb fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Tokody couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Várdomb booed when FC Pladask was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cai Drevland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Várdomb's Vilmos Balázs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Drevland in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, FC Pladask's Cai Drevland sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilmos Balázs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Várdomb supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Várdomb would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
