Dário Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Quinten having to interfere. Dário Paraibano might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Quinten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dário Paraibano ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Acevedo in the 67th minute of play forced Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Osvaldinho Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dário Paraibano during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Osvaldinho Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 minutes of play, Sajones F.C.'s Camilo Acevedo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldinho Marquez was left in no man's land by his defense there! 98 minutes into the match, Camilo Acevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldinho Marquez. Grêmio FBPA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camilo Acevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
