ADANA DEMİR SPOR's Erkut Ersevim got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Viljami Virtala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Liverpool FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ADANA DEMİR SPOR:s goal. Taito Turpeinen hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Anselmi Oksa made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Kubilay Nurkan sent off a good shot on target. In the 44th minute, Tero Hiltunen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Ilmo Kaven came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gazanfer Özcan Tuncaral could save by the left post. Liverpool FC's Tero Hiltunen managed to work through ADANA DEMİR SPOR's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tero Hiltunen dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After 59 played minutes ADANA DEMİR SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Nasir Uyarel. In the 63rd minute, Kubilay Nurkan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net.
