After 11 played minutes Primatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Cabral. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Almeida got free with Albano Bemabe in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Justo Aguirre to maneuver through the defense. When Silvério Pires fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Primatas FC's protests and gave Silvério Pires a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Primatas FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvério Pires. In the 22nd minute Silvério Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Bemabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Tiago Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmir Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apolo Aurken in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute of the match La Scaloneta got a corner. Primatas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Segundo Birila ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Primatas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Walmir Leal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Apolo Aurken scored 0-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walmir Leal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Apolo Aurken kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half La Scaloneta were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Aurken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Walmir Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ariel Ubendu in the 53rd minute. After 55 minutes, Tiago Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Primatas FC and the La Scaloneta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Scaloneta booed when Primatas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ariel Ubendu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Walmir Leal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Albano Bemabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilmar Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, La Scaloneta's goal looked a bit too open when Baltazar Nascimento came free, but Albano Bemabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juninho Quintal during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rosendo Sasoin thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Albano Bemabe, a very annoying self made goal in the 95th minute which led to 4-3. Primatas FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La Scaloneta for a fine match.
