Severino Rojelio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, AKS Chorzów's Maksymilian Piekarczyk sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Severino Rojelio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severino Rojelio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milosz Huk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute, Maksymilian Piekarczyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Melquiades Salvatore came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Club Atlético Atlanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melquiades Salvatore couldn't finish the play. Witalis Dytrych scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Rojelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 35th minute, Maksymilian Piekarczyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melquiades Salvatore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Radowit Wnukowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute Witalis Dytrych shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Rojelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maksymilian Piekarczyk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maksymilian Piekarczyk in the 57th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Severino Rojelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th match minute, Club Atlético Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Cresconio to maneuver through the defense. When Maksymilian Piekarczyk came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the AKS Chorzów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maksymilian Piekarczyk couldn't finish the play. Milosz Huks short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Severino Rojelio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The AKS Chorzów supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing AKS Chorzów would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
