Horacio Suarez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Guyu FC's Horacio Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egídio Trindade in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Guyu FC booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Lustosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 10 minutes, Toni Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guyu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Toni Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the game, Valery Marrero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guyu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Clube Patrício the free kick. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Guyu FC! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Egídio Trindade in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horacio Suarez saved Guyu FC from getting behind. Guyu FC's Horacio Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermenegildo Ribeiro in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Silvério Amaro sped through Guyu FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Horacio Suarez. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zoilo Nueva during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Guyu FC got a freekick which was hit by Zoilo Nueva. In the 22nd minute, Silvério Amaro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandrino Quintas struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Horacio Suarez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Clube Patrício. Guyu FC's Horacio Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Amaro in the 29th minute of play. After 31 minutes Guyu FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Laurentino Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Guyu FC booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egídio Trindade didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Silvério Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Clube Patrício's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horacio Suarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A nice corner shot did that Laurentino Teixeira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Horacio Suarez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gustavo Ferrão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute, Santiago Olmos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute of the match Laurentino Teixeira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horacio Suarez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio Trindade in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horacio Suarez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horacio Suarez came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Clube Patrício's Silvério Amaro. But to his dismay, Silvério Amaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Egídio Trindade to make the kick off. Horacio Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandrino Quintas, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Guyu FC defense, Egídio Trindade kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horacio Suarez. The Guyu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horacio Suarez should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Guyu FC's goalkeeper Horacio Suarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Egídio Trindade. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandrino Quintas got free with Horacio Suarez in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 67 minutes into the match, Guyu FC's goalkeeper Horacio Suarez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandrino Quintas. Guyu FC's Horacio Suarez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermenegildo Ribeiro in the 68th minute of play. A collision led to Guyu FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Toni Torres hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, Guyu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Amaro came free, but Horacio Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Egídio Trindade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Horacio Suarez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 78th match minute, Guyu FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Zurica to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Suarez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 79th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Laurentino Teixeira. The Sporting Clube Patrício fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Sporting Clube Patrício's Egídio Trindade looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 83rd minute, Sporting Clube Patrício's Silvério Amaro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Horacio Suarez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvério Amaro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 86 minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Sporting Clube Patrício was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Ferrão to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Guyu FC's Horacio Suarez got control of the ball when Egídio Trindade tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hermenegildo Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Suarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Ferrão in the 97th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Guyu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermenegildo Ribeiro came free, but Horacio Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
