A collision led to Poli Iași getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Olimpiu Luca hit a great ball. Sergiu Gherguț who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Nistor Zamfir when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Peter hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Remus Nuțu came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nistor Zamfir could save by the left post. Nistor Zamfir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olimpiu Luca in the 18th minute. Nistor Zamfir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remus Nuțu in the 19th minute of play. Remus Nuțu took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nistor Zamfir. Nistor Zamfir dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. George Teodoreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Romeo Toma hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of Poli Iași booed when AFC Nirosxn 08 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Bălțăteanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st match minute, AFC Nirosxn 08 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Bălțăteanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Nicu Arosculesei made a precise shot to the right of Mihai Bogdănescu. Poli Iași's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remus Nuțu was the one to do the kick off. When Poli Iași's Remus Nuțu in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Nirosxn 08's goalie prevented a goal. Mihai Bogdănescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romeo Toma in the 56th minute. If Olimpiu Luca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes, Nicu Bălțăteanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Nirosxn 08 and the Poli Iași players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 71st minute, Nicu Bălțăteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, AFC Nirosxn 08's goal looked a bit too open when Remus Nuțu came free, but Nistor Zamfir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Romeo Toma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Nirosxn 08's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Toma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remus Nuțu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89th minute, Nicu Bălțăteanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Toma might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mihai Bogdănescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeo Toma ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the match, Poli Iași's goalkeeper Mihai Bogdănescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romeo Toma. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olimpiu Luca in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nistor Zamfir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Poli Iași had won after a very even match.
