Kurt Österberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Roch Grondzki made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derman Cruchet in the 9th minute of play forced SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Roch Grondzki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Jan Basaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cezary Chrzan in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Ale Glowacz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Oscar Giraldo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Roch Grondzki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derman Cruchet in the 17th minute of play. Jan Basaik stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Giraldo's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After a defensive mix-up in KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's zone, Oscar Giraldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Basaik came out of the goal and Oscar Giraldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Basaik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezary Chrzan in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Chrzan in the 29th minute of play forced KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Jan Basaik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goalkeeper Roch Grondzki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wlodzimierz Klucznik. Jan Basaik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Giraldo in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Przemyslaw Moryl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ and the SMOCZANKA MIELEC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Przemyslaw Moryl kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Roch Grondzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Derman Cruchet in the 36th minute of play. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cezary Chrzan in the 39th minute. A nice corner shot did that Andrzej Brataniec got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jan Basaik quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roberto Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Basaik having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, SMOCZANKA MIELEC's goal looked a bit too open when Derman Cruchet came free, but Roch Grondzki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Derman Cruchet scored to the left of an out of position Roch Grondzki, making the score, 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Derman Cruchet to make the kick off. After 51 minutes, Derman Cruchet made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Roch Grondzki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Roch Grondzki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kurt Österberg in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Jan Basaik got control of the ball when Cezary Chrzan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roch Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derman Cruchet in the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Oscar Giraldo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jan Basaik, 3-1. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Bernard Cytrynski was substituted for Andrzej Brataniec. Roch Grondzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derman Cruchet in the 78th minute of the match. After 80 minutes SMOCZANKA MIELEC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roberto-Carlos Petrović who took care of the corner kick. 81 minutes into the match, Ale Glowacz notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of SMOCZANKA MIELEC's Roch Grondzki. Roch Grondzki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oscar Giraldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the game, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Wlodzimierz Klucznik nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roch Grondzki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. SMOCZANKA MIELEC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
