In the 9th minute, Paulo Laurentzi made a precise shot to the right of Leon Dytrych. Amazonas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Leon Dytrych didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulo Laurentzi went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Evelio Antoniano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Unai, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Criciúma Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amazonas's goalkeeper Leon Dytrych, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Criciúma Esporte Clube were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Amazonas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paulo Laurentzi took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Paulo Laurentzi got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Leon Dytrych quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Criciúma Esporte Clube booed when Amazonas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tabby Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Unai in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Paulo Laurentzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Criciúma Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Paulo Laurentzi took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leon Dytrych. Leon Dytrych dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bieito Villaurreta in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leon Dytrych prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evelio Antoniano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavon Pinazas in the 44th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavon Pinazas in the 44th minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Laurentzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bieito Villaurreta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leon Dytrych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Laurentzi in the 54th minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Paulo Laurentzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Leon Dytrych was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Amazonas's Tabby Brito got a free kick in the 57th minute. Tabby Brito hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Bieito Villaurreta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Leon Dytrych. The goal made the score 1-6. Leon Dytrych made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Paulo Laurentzi sent off a good shot on target. Gaztea Regalado kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ernesto Unai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Paulo Laurentzi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Dytrych was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. The throw-in from Tabby Brito in the 88th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Criciúma Esporte Clube's Usub Raha. After having played for 89 minutes, Paulo Laurentzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Criciúma Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Laurentzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tabby Brito during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Amazonas getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Tabby Brito hit a great ball. Gaztea Regalado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Leon Dytrych tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Criciúma Esporte Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Criciúma Esporte Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
