Renato Augusto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renato Augusto got free with David Escobar in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Esen Sanal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Demario in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Lei Feng Yan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Escobar, 1-0.
