The supporters of Cöpacabana FC booed when Nova Era was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vito Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 28 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goal looked a bit too open when Stig-Åke Benet came free, but Tomás Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nova Era's Tomás Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dumitru Lucaci in the 29th minute of play. Vito Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Tasso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cöpacabana FC's zone, Vito Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dagoberto Loureiro came out of the goal and Vito Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vito Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Stig-Åke Benet made a precise shot to the right of Tomás Tasso. Nova Era's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The wind increased when Egídio Vaz made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Åke Benet in the 54th minute of play forced Nova Era's goalkeeper Tomás Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dumitru Lucaci who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Tomás Tasso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomás Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dumitru Lucaci in the 66th minute of play. Tomás Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dumitru Lucaci's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Tomás Tasso made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Dumitru Lucaci sent off a good shot on target. After 77 played minutes Cöpacabana FC got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Åke Benet. A collision led to Cöpacabana FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Stig-Åke Benet hit a great ball. In the 78th minute of the match Zé Augusto de Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dagoberto Loureiro skillfully saved the ball. Tomás Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nimród Szőcs in the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to Cöpacabana FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Nimród Szőcs hit a great ball. Dagoberto Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egídio Vaz in the 85th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Nimród Szőcs notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Nova Era's Tomás Tasso. Tomás Tasso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 91 minutes into the match, Nova Era's goalkeeper Tomás Tasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dumitru Lucaci. Nova Era's Tomás Tasso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Era from getting a goal against them. Cöpacabana FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
