When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Loco Durazno put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luis Täger. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Löfkvist in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Golden Lions FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Joakim Haegg hit a great ball. Loco Durazno might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis Täger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Loco Durazno ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute of the game, Georg Termander landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 28 minutes into the game, Emanuel Löfkvist was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parque Europa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Lions FC the free kick. In the 30th minute, Emanuel Löfkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loco Durazno got free with Luis Täger in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luis Täger made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Loco Durazno sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loco Durazno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
