Cleto Quirze was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Casimiro Sayveon might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cleto Quirze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Sayveon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 21st minute Casimiro Sayveon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Quirze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Guaparo FC's Casimiro Sayveon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Quirze narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Guaparo FC's Cássio de Alcântara got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Esteve Emenon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zamora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Janusz Skoroda kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Casimiro Sayveon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cleto Quirze having to make a save.
