The audience was convinced that Roque Santa Cruz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Belo was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 42nd minute, Rafinha Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Errecaborda AFC's Enrique Belo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sendoa Najera in the 44th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roque Santa Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Enrique Belo came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Made in Paraguay's Sendoa Najera. But to his dismay, Sendoa Najera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Enrique Belo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sendoa Najera in the 83rd minute. Javier Peter got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 89 minutes into the match, Made in Paraguay's Sendoa Najera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Belo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute Sendoa Najera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
