Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when JFSP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thibault Mamardashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Barreto in the 6th minute of play. Vambola Probach took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reinaldo Queiroz. Reinaldo Queiroz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Vambola Probach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Queiroz having to interfere. In the 19th minute of the match, Aníbal Pirani tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reinaldo Queiroz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th match minute, JFSP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Luiz Guilherme Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reinaldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Lira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Celso Secco. The long shot by Vivaldo Lira in the 30th minute really tested Reinaldo Queiroz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 32 minutes into the match, JFSP's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Barreto came free, but Thibault Mamardashvili reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jano Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gláuber Fonseca's late challenge caught a Várzea F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gláuber Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Gláuber Fonseca got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vambola Probach, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

After having played for 52 minutes, Vivaldo Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Lira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gláuber Fonseca in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reinaldo Queiroz saved Várzea F.C. from getting behind. When Aníbal Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the JFSP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Pirani couldn't finish the play. JFSP made a substitution. Cléberson Teixeira replaced Tiaguinho Melo. In the 65th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Marques to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Marques to maneuver through the defense. Vivaldo Lira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reinaldo Queiroz. Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Várzea F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JFSP the free kick. After 73 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Bueno. Reinaldo Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Vivaldo Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reinaldo Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Vivaldo Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Várzea F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Vivaldo Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thibault Mamardashvili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. JFSP's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Vivaldo Bueno scored to the left of an out of position Thibault Mamardashvili, making the score, 2-1. Reinaldo Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vambola Probach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89th minute Vivaldo Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinaldo Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Secco hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When Gláuber Fonseca was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Gláuber Fonseca got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Lira notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Várzea F.C.'s Reinaldo Queiroz. Reinaldo Queiroz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Várzea F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
