Merlin Dolan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Fabelo went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Augustyn in the 7th minute of play. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Fabelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Neal to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Jerzy Augustyn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merlin Dolan was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Marco Fabelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Merlin Dolan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carson Sherrill charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carson Sherrill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th match minute, Zamalek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carson Sherrill to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Zamalek FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Virgil Calderwood hit a great ball. Marco Fabelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Merlin Dolan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Zula Paraszczuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merlin Dolan having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Marco Fabelo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fae Folgore fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. In the 37th match minute, Fae Folgore was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roald Lillehagen to maneuver through the defense. Jerzy Augustyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Fabelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Merlin Dolan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Fabelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Santo Knox got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Denny Olson. After the first half Fae Folgore were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerzy Augustyn was the one to do the kick off. Merlin Dolan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marco Fabelo's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Merlin Dolan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerzy Augustyn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 54 minute of play. In the 56th minute, Fae Folgore's Marco Fabelo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Zamalek FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 61st minute, when Marco Fabelo scored to the left of an out of position Merlin Dolan, making the score, 0-9. Merlin Dolan came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Fae Folgore's Marco Fabelo. But to his dismay, Marco Fabelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. Marco Fabelo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Merlin Dolan came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Fae Folgore's Marco Fabelo. But to his dismay, Marco Fabelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. Fae Folgore's Dariusz Kluczyk was substituted for Aureliusz Bejger. Fae Folgore made a substitution. Wincenty Szarmach replaced Marco Fabelo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnaba Barniszke in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Merlin Dolan saved Zamalek FC from getting behind. Merlin Dolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincenty Szarmach, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Santo Knox in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fae Folgore's Zula Paraszczuk. Wincenty Szarmach sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zamalek FC's Merlin Dolan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wincenty Szarmach in the 87th minute of play. Wincenty Szarmach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Merlin Dolan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Virgil Calderwood hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wincenty Szarmach scored 0-13 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Merlin Dolan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Merlin Dolan successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match was over Fae Folgore could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zamalek FC throughout the match.
