The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Mikla got free with Tadeu Moraes in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paul Buteanu hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Alan Shearer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Tadeu Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buba Huba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
