None of the them looked very eager to play. 刘洋朗 started the match with the kick off. A nice corner shot did that Roberto Carlos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Petruț Dicu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Exército Português booed when FC Rogers Sosnowiec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofil Jakubiak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Gergely Balázs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exército Português's supporters rose to their feet, but Gergely Balázs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Slavyan Gusev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 11thth minute of the game Wiktor Bejrut who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Exército Português's Petruț Dicu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Petruț Dicu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiktor Bejrut, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gergely Balázs in the 21st minute of play forced FC Rogers Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Slavyan Gusev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Slavyan Gusev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 刘洋朗 in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, FC Rogers Sosnowiec's goal looked a bit too open when 刘洋朗 came free, but Slavyan Gusev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Petruț Dicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wiktor Bejrut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute FC Rogers Sosnowiec were awarded a corner. Roberto Carlos went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on FC Rogers Sosnowiec's corner Roberto Carlos fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Petruț Dicu quite easily take care of the ball. Albertino Lemos hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Petruț Dicu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugeniusz Cwojdak in the 37th minute. Slavyan Gusev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Rogers Sosnowiec's Wiktor Bejrut got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiktor Bejrut was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Roberto Carlos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petruț Dicu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Carlos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Wiktor Bejrut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Petruț Dicu was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Bruno Soveral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slavyan Gusev having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gergely Balázs in the 72nd minute of play forced FC Rogers Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Slavyan Gusev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, Eugeniusz Cwojdak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Rogers Sosnowiec fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Exército Português made a substitution. Armando Meireles replaced Gergely Balázs. Petruț Dicu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Carlos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Rogers Sosnowiec fans cheered their team off the field, for while Exército Português had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
