An unexpectedly hard shot by Cirilo Ritchie in the 27th minute of play forced 17 de enero team's goalkeeper Zoran Simović to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Isidoro Isidor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 17 de enero team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Isidor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 de enero team's Zoran Simović proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save 17 de enero team from getting a goal against them. Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victoriano Iratzeder in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute 17 de enero team were awarded a corner. Den Barraclough went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Den Barraclough almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan did a great save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Victoriano Iratzeder made a kick off. Joel Gamus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Arif Ozan Oğuztan made a huge save. 17 de enero team's Zoran Simović played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Ritchie in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56thth minute of the game Victoriano Iratzeder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cirilo Ritchie might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zoran Simović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cirilo Ritchie ran back to his position shaking his head. 62 minutes into the game, Arrecifes's Cirilo Ritchie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zoran Simović made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Arrecifes made a substitution. Hipolito Laurendi replaced Carlos Eufrasio. Arrecifes's Natanael Matorin was substituted for Waldemar Korytkowski. Zoran Simović didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felipe Senon went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 71 minutes into the match, 17 de enero team's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin De Bruyne came free, but Zoran Simović reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Senon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zoran Simović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Felipe Senon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zoran Simović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zoran Simović was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Victoriano Iratzeder came free, but Arif Ozan Oğuztan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arrecifes's Kevin De Bruyne managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabian Costin in the 93 minute of the game. Zoran Simović showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Senon, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Arrecifes fans cheered their team off the field, for while 17 de enero team had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
