An unexpectedly hard shot by Edílson Souza in the 9th minute of play forced Olivedos's goalkeeper Abelardo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes Olivedos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mieszko Borkowski who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Mieszko Borkowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abelardo Maranhense quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cássio Ferrazs short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Szymon Konieczny to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 21 minutes into the match, Mieszko Borkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Maranhense. Olivedos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mieszko Borkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donato Oliveira got free with Szymon Konieczny in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abelardo Maranhense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mieszko Borkowski went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mieszko Borkowski in the 30th minute of play. Szymon Konieczny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Ferraz in the 38th minute of the match. Mieszko Borkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 played minutes Olivedos got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Ceresso. Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mieszko Borkowski in the 46th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edílson Souza was the one to do the kick off. Szymon Konieczny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Fifth Chicken booed when Olivedos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edílson Souza's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Fifth Chicken fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Olivedos a penalty, 61 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cássio Ferraz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fifth Chicken's Szymon Konieczny. 1-2. With an all-out effort, Fifth Chicken's Abelardo Maranhense threw himself towards the right post 65 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Edílson Souza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fifth Chicken made a substitution. Waldemar Tipinski replaced Mieszko Borkowski. In the 75th minute, Edílson Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes Fifth Chicken got a freekick which was hit by Edílson Souza. With a little luck, Olivedos's Abelardo Maranhense got control of the ball when Waldemar Tipinski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abelardo Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edílson Souza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Obi Kenobi during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Fifth Chicken getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Obi Kenobi hit a great ball. The Fifth Chicken supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fifth Chicken would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
