With a little luck, DINAMO's Corneliu Junilă got control of the ball when Francisco Lacunza tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 11 played minutes DINAMO got a freekick which was hit by Șerban Damian. Patxi Aizpuru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Șerban Damian in the 17th minute of play. With his leg Corneliu Junilă managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Inter de Chillán's Francisco Lacunza fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 20 minutes, Ovidiu Crăciun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DINAMO and the Inter de Chillán players grew even worse after the yellow card. Patxi Aizpuru took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Greblă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 68 minutes, Francisco Lacunza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Lacunza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70thth minute of the game Francisco Lacunza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DINAMO's Corneliu Junilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 77th minute Emil Banica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patxi Aizpuru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Francisco Lacunza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Corneliu Junilă was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Corneliu Junilă stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Lacunza's shot from short distance in the 86th minute.
