Ionuț Aluneanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Lamberto in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Ubaldo Veto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionuț Aluneanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cecilio Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Quintero in the 20th minute of play. The Cobresal fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when Cobresal's Gregorio Quintero looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregorio Quintero in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cecilio Jax saved San Martin de Tucuman from getting behind. Roberto Vildosola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Cecilio Jax made a huge save. In the 28th minute, Ubaldo Veto had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. The supporters of San Martin de Tucuman booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Diaz de Valdes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Cecilio Jax made a huge save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dino Scapini to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Paulino Lamberto could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Ionuț Aluneanu however easily saved by the left post. Ionuț Aluneanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Copil in the 55th minute of the match. San Martin de Tucuman made a substitution. 庄雄鹏 replaced Luciano Selmo. Ionuț Aluneanu made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Paulino Lamberto sent off a good shot on target. After taking down the ball on San Martin de Tucuman's corner Paulino Lamberto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ionuț Aluneanu quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th match minute, Cobresal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Diaz de Valdes to maneuver through the defense. Cobresal made a substitution. Nunez Gipuzkoa replaced Augusto Pirinchev. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Scapini in the 72nd minute of play forced San Martin de Tucuman's goalkeeper Cecilio Jax to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Copil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ionuț Aluneanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cobresal's zone, Ivan Copil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionuț Aluneanu came out of the goal and Ivan Copil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. San Martin de Tucuman's Cecilio Jax played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Scapini in the 93rd minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
