Iraklis Prionas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Uriel Taurino having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Oriol in the 23rd minute of play forced Balaskaíika asFC's goalkeeper Thomas Panagiotopoulos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Los Cachorros de Ted's Uriel Taurino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolis Thomaidis in the 25th minute of play. Tolis Vrachopoulos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Uriel Taurino came out and tried to block the shot, but Tolis Vrachopoulos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 35th minute. Tolis Vrachopoulos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Uriel Taurino when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 41st minute Iraklis Prionas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Uriel Taurino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Ivan Quinton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomas Panagiotopoulos. Balaskaíika asFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Quinton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
Balaskaíika asFC's Iraklis Prionas suffered a sore thigh after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Domingos Cisco fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Cachorros de Ted's protests and gave Domingos Cisco a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Los Cachorros de Ted:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Balaskaíika asFC:s goal. Tolis Vrachopoulos shot the penalty kick right outside the post. With a little luck, Balaskaíika asFC's Thomas Panagiotopoulos got control of the ball when Ivan Quinton tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 61 minutes, Tolis Vrachopoulos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balaskaíika asFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tolis Vrachopoulos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Tolis Vrachopoulos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uriel Taurino was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. The tension between the Balaskaíika asFC and the Los Cachorros de Ted players grew even worse after the yellow card.
